The Green Cross of Florida - Little known Flags that have flown in the State.

 The State of Florida, our home state...has had quite a few flags flown over it.  Other than our current flag, Spanish, British, French, Confederate, and a " Patriot " flag have all flown over the Great State of Florida at some time.  You can find numerous versions of some of the flags....not the French, it is going to be the Fleur de Lis....but the others, like the Spanish or Confederate come in several flavors.  The one Florida State Flag most people don't hear much about dates back to early 1817 and a guy named Gregor MacGregor.  MacGregor was a Scottish mercenary who seized Fort San Carlos on Amelia Island on June 29th 1817.
